On 12/1/22 at 10:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Keturah Lane conducted a case management inspection for the purpose of adding a toddler component to the license at Director's request. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Laura Clements and toured the facility. Census was 91 children in 7 classrooms with 13 staff members. Appropriate ratios and capacity were observed. Appropriate care & visual supervision were also observed during the inspection. Facility will be using classroom #1 "Cubbies" as the toddler classroom. Fire clearace was granted on 11/14/2022. A playground waiver was submitted to share the toddler playground with the 2-year-olds on a scheduled basis. Waiver was approved 11/3/2022. Director also submitted a playground plan to provide separate outdoor activities for children ages 18-24 months and to not allow them on the structure or swings. Outdoor activities provided will be age-appropriate for 18-24 months. Staff will maintain supervision at all times to ensure children are only using age-appropriate equipment. Both Director, Assistant Director and sufficient staff have infant toddler educations units. DIrector understands that toddler component must be kept separate from the preschool at all times. Ratio for toddler classroom is 1 staff per 6 children and maximum group size is 12 toddlers.

LPA inspected classroom #1 for toddler component and did not observe any hazards. Bathroom in classroom #1 has a sink that is arms reach from the changing table. Bathroom has 2 sinks and 1 toilet. The facility has a total of 12 sinks and 11 toilets available to children.

All indoor classrooms and outdoor activity space utilized for children was thoroughly inspected and measured:
Indoor:
Room #1 "Cubbies" (18-36 months) measures 645.78 square feet which is sufficient for the maximum group size of 12 toddlers.
Room #2 "Panda" measures 781.90 square feet
Room #3 "Grizzly" measures 837 square feet
Room #4 "Polar" measures 831 square feet
Room #5 "Teddy" measures 831 square feet
Room #6 "Koala" measures 837 square feet
Room #7 "Brown Bear" measures 1,125.10 square feet
Total indoor activity spaces measures 5,888.78 which will accommodate the current license of 157 children.

Outdoor:
There are two playgrounds that are fenced separately. Areas are completely fenced, have shaded areas with canopies and trees, have age-appropriate equipment and sufficient cushioning (sand) under the climbing structures. LPA did not observe any debris or hazards on the playgrounds. There is a large locked shed on the preschool playground for supplies. Drinking water is readily accessible via water bottles the children bring. Water will be refilled via water filter container.
The Toddler playground (right side) measures 7,611.82 square feet and has a side grassy area suitable for the younger toddlers. The toddler playground will accommodate no more than 101 children at one time.
The preschool playground measures 11,267.28 square feet which will accommodate no more than 150 children at one time.

NO deficiencies were cited at this inspection.
Upon final file review an updated license will be issued to add the toddler component to the license. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with facility representative Director Laura Clements. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
