Licensing Program Analyst's (LPA) Samantha Salunga and Michael Morales-DeSilvestore visited the facility for the purpose to conduct an annual required inspection. Upon arrival, LPA's met with Center Director, Leonor Kennaly and proceeded to tour the facility. Also present were a total of 51 children in the following classrooms:
  • Room 122/123: 17 children with Leslie Mccary and Nicole Uyeda
  • Room 126: 6 children with Slyvia Riis
  • Room 211: 10 children with Stephanie Kennaly
  • Room 105: 11 children with Mary Davis
  • Room 104: 7 children with Janelle Brewer

Appropriate ratios and capacity were observed. Furniture and age appropriate equipment is in good condition indoors and outdoors. Children's toilets and hand washing facilities are sanitary. Rooms are safe and clean. Food preparation area is clean, food and beverages are stored in covered containers at 45 degrees F or less if required, and storage containers for solid waste are covered. Drinking water is readily accessible inside and outside the classroom. All disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous items are inaccessible to children through latches and locks. Outdoor play area is fenced with adequate material for cushioning. Area has canopies/trees used for shade. There are no bodies of water or weapons at this facility. No excluded individuals are present. Last fire drill was conducted and documented on 11/19/2019. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector at the facility located in front of the Director's office. All staff files that were reviewed contained updated First Aid/CPR. Sign in/sign out sheets are well maintained. Admission Agreement forms reviewed for some children. Staff records contain documentation of education, training, and/or experience. Menus are posted. Immunization records per SB792 and Mandated Reporter Training Certificates per AB1207 were reviewed for staff that were present during time of inspection and were observed to be in compliance.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA's reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. LPA's observed an expired epipen for Child #1.
