25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Samantha Salunga and Leilani Curtis visited the facility to conduct a case management (non-compliance) inspection. Upon arrival LPA's met with Gini Andrade, Co-Director, and proceeded to tour the facility. Lisa Daniels, Owner/Co-Director, arrived shortly after to conclude inspection. During inspection, there were a total of 43 children with a total of five staff members.
Appropriate ratios and capacity were observed. Furniture and equipment inside and outside of facility is in good condition; free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Drinking water is readily accessible at all times. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous items are inaccessible to children via latches, locks and/or placed up on high surfaces. No body of water was observed during time of inspection. No firearms or weapons are present at the facility. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in good repair and sanitary. Kitchen/food preparation area is observed clean and free of litter, mold, rodents and other vermin. All storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Outdoor play area is fully fenced and contains sufficient amount of cushioning with wooden chips to absorb a fall. Sign in/sign out sheets are well maintained. Last fire drill was conducted and documented on 03/07/2019. All required documents are posted. Children’s files were reviewed for medical assessment. Present staff (during inspection) records were reviewed and contained documentation of educational background, training, and/or experience. There is at least one staff member on site at all times that is current in CPR/First Aid. Immunization records per SB792 and Mandated Reporter Training Certificate per AB1207 was reviewed and in compliance.
This facility does not currently provide Incidental Medical Services (IMS). For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226.
