25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Diana Sanchez conducted an Annual/Random inspection on today's date, at the above referenced facility. LPA met with director Amy Kron and made her aware of the purpose of this inspection is to ensure the facility is maintaining the health and safety standards as required by Community Care Licensing (CCL) Regulations governing Child Care Centers.
There were 40 infants in four separate infant rooms. The classrooms were inspected; floors appeared to be cleaned and safe, a variety of age-appropriate toys, materials and equipment were available for children’s use. Furniture, children's cubbies, toys and napping equipment (cribs & cots) appeared to be in good condition. Infant changing tables have padded surface and within arm's reach of a sink. Food and formulas for infants are labeled with names and dates.
Outside playground area was toured; all equipment was in good working order. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. Play area has structure shade and grounds are free of debris or potential hazards.
LPA reviewed sign in and out sheets, noted that all required forms were properly posted on the parents’ board.
There is an operational Type 2A:10BC fire extinguishers and working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in the facility.
Per new Senate Bill 792 pertaining to immunizations, which require all adults in daycare operation to have proof of immunizations for; Measles, Pertussis or Whooping Cough and Influenza or Flu, LPA has verified that all cleared staff have verification of required immunizations and are in compliance.
Assembly Bill 1207 Mandated Child Abuse Reporting. Beginning on January 1, 2018, this law requires all licensed providers, applicants, directors and employees to complete training as specified on their mandated reporter duties and to renew their training every two years. |
