25 | LPA Nancy Diaz conducted an unannounced annual site inspection today. Upon arrival, LPA observed 4 infants in Room #1 with staff Florida Castillo and 4 infants in Room #2 with staff Taylor Noel. At 8:58 AM staff Widad Aziz arrived and proceeded to Room #2. Ms. Aziz removed 2 infants from Room #1 and transitioned them to Room #2 with staff Florida Castillo (total of 6 infants). Staff Taylor Noel took over supervision of children in Room #1 with 2 infants. Staff Evangeline Puno arrived at 10AM to supervise the children in Room #1 with staff Taylor Noel. A tour of all classrooms was conducted with Pam Crisman. All required notices, forms and license were posted in an area visible to the parents or authorized person.
There were no bodies of water observed within the premises. Facility do not maintain weapons. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous to children are inaccessible via storage in latched cabinet in staff restroom. Furniture and playground equipment are kept in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The facility has age-appropriate furniture and equipment including, but not limited to, cribs, cots, or mats; changing tables, and feeding chairs. A baby walker is not allowed on the premises of a child care center in accordance with H & S Code Section 1596.846. The facility has sufficient infant napping equipment that meets the requirements of Section 101439.1(a)-(f). The facility have indoor activity space for infants that is physically separate from space used by preschool and school-age children. The child care center is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. The toddler program is conducted in areas physically separate from those used by older or younger children. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements.
Bottles, dishes and containers of food brought by the infant’s authorized representative are labeled with infant’s name and the current date. All toilets and handwashing facilities are safe and working in sanitary conditions. Uncontaminated drinking water is available both indoors and out. Menus are posted at least one week in advance, where an authorized representative can view them. All infants are never left unattended, and under the direct visual supervision of a staff person at all times.
