On 06/21/21 at 11:50am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane arrived at the facility to conduct a case management inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase and room change. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Lindsay Walker and proceeded to tour the facility. There were no children and one (1) staff member present during the inspection due to the school being closed for the summer. The current licensed capacity is for 15 preschool children (age 2–6 years) operating in room 2 and applicant is requesting a capacity increase for 30 preschool children (age 3-5 years) operating in rooms 3 and 4. Facility operates Monday through Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm.

A fire clearance for 30 preschool children (age 2-5 years) in rooms 3 and 4 was granted 6/16/2021.

The following rooms were inspected and measured:
· Room 3 measured a total of 977.56 square feet
· Room 4 measured a total of 977.56 square feet

The rooms measured a total of 1933.12 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 55 children, however applicant is only requesting a capacity of 30 preschool children. Rooms are equipped with age appropriate furniture, including tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, and other materials for children. Nap mats are available; however, parents are required to bring nap mats from home. There are four (4) toilets and two (2) sinks for children's use, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Drinking water is available in the classrooms through the use of disposable water bottles provided by the facility. The facility utilizes the health clerk’s office located across from classrooms for an isolation area, if needed. There is not a carbon monoxide detector in facility at this time. Hazardous items are stored in the kitchen area and inaccessible to children. Medications are kept in the health clerk’s office. There is a first aid kit with required supplies.
