32 | All staff members completed the required mandated online child abuse training. Facility has at least one staff on site with a valid EMSA approved pediatric CPR/First Aid certificates. LPA reviewed Emergency Disaster Plan and last fire drill was conducted on 11/26/23 while the last earthquake drill was conducted on 10/27/23. Facility does not have an operating carbon monoxide detector located in the infant center.
This facility currently is not dispensing any medication to children in care. Licensee is aware that an Incidental Medical Services - IMS - plan is required to be submitted to the licensing office if they provide any of these services. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee representative was reminded that corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, and jumpers are not allowed in day care. The ABC’S of Safe Sleep: Sleep is Safest: Alone, on their Back in an empty Crib on a firm mattress.
Child Care Providers can now sign up for Quarterly Updates and PINS through the DSS website at https://cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care-licensing/subscribe. LPA discussed California Megan's Law with provider and advised her to go on the website at www.meganslaw.ca.gov.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
