25 | On 09/15/2021 at 11:01AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Clenista visited the facility to conduct an annual random site inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Center Director, Cynthia Bautista, and proceeded to tour the facility. There were a total of 84 children with a total of 9 staff. Appropriate ratio and capacity was observed. All required notices, forms and licenses were posted. Furniture and age appropriate equipment is in good condition. Rooms have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation. Water is available via water bottles and Brita water jugs. Storage cubbies are readily available, and room accommodates class size. Napping equipment consists of cots. Food service area consists of a kitchen which is clean and free of hazards. Monthly menu is posted in the lobby. Cleaning supplies are kept out of reach of children. Adequate food is available for meals and snacks. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in good repair and sanitary.
Outdoor play area is a fenced playground and there are sufficient shade and canopy for the children. Equipment is age appropriate and separated by age groups, toddler and preschool. Sign in/out sheets were reviewed and well maintained. Toddlers 18-24 months had infant needs and services plans and were updated quarterly. Isolation area is the director's office. Personnel and client records were reviewed. Reporting requirements was also reviewed. All personnel have required background clearances and are associated to the facility. LPA reviewed Emergency Disaster Plan and last fire drill was conducted on 08/12/2021. Facility has an operating carbon monoxide detector located in the kitchen left of the kitchen's sink. Facility has at least one staff member that has a valid EMSA approved pediatric CPR/FA when children are in care.
This facility does not currently have anyone who needs Incidental Medical Services – IMS. No storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records was reviewed. See 809-C for continuation...
