On 09/28/2021 at 11:40am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Clenista conducted an unannounced plan of correction inspection regarding a deficiency that was issued on 09/15/2021. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Cynthia Bautista. LPA conducted a tour of the facility and observed there to be a total of 83 children with a total of 8 staff members.

On 09/15/2021, the facility was cited under Title 22 Regulation 101223(a)(2)- Personal Rights. Facility was not abiding to the mask mandate of having all individuals who are 2+ years old wear a mask indoors (regardless of vaccination status) per County of San Diego and California Department of Public Health. Plan of correction was to send out a newsletter regarding the mask mandate and an update regarding COVID-19 center policy to all day care parents and LPA by 09/17/2021. Director fulfilled this correction. During today's inspection, LPA observed all individuals (2-years-old +) wearing their masks if they were not observed eating, napping or playing outside. LPA also observed signs of mask mandate located at the front door, sign-in/out area and throughout the facility. LPA also observed parents/guardians picking up their child(ren) wearing their masks. Lastly, LPA observed there to be extra children masks at the facility's sign-in/out area for children who either forgot their masks or need a replacement throughout the day. LPA observed the facility to be in compliance regarding the mask mandate during LPA's inspection. Deficiency that was cited on 09/15/2021 was cleared during LPA's inspection. An exit interview was conducted with Director. LPA provided Director a copy of POC letter.

No deficiencies observed in the areas inspected during today's visit. NOTICE OF SITE VISIT IS TO BE POSTED FOR 30 DAYS. LPA observed Director post notice of site visit.
