25 | On 08/11/2022 at 11:00 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dana Stevens, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Director, Mayra Meza and Administrator, Pauline Cervantes. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Director stated there are currently 68 children enrolled however no children were present at the time of this inspection due to summer break. School sessions resume on Tuesday August 16, 2022. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. This facility provides care in five classrooms:
Pre-Primary Room (Ages 2.5 -3.5 years)
Toddler Room (Ages 18 months- 2.5 years)
Primary Room 1 (Ages 3-5 years)
Primary Room 2 (Ages 4-6 years)
Primary Room 3 (Ages 3-5) Currently not being used.
There were no bodies of water observed within the premises. Director stated there are no firearms/weapons on the grounds. Furniture and playground equipment are kept in good condition. The child care center is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Facility has a functioning carbon monoxide detector that meets requirements. All toilets and hand washing facilities are safe and working in sanitary conditions. Drinking water is available both indoors and out. Children use individual, re-usable water bottles. Facility does not provide meals, all children bring lunch from home. Facility does have a kitchen and provides children with snacks twice a day . Facility's kitchen and food storage areas are clean and sanitary. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. All storage containers for solid waste have a tight-fitting covers that are kept on and in good repair. Roster and children and staff files were reviewed and found complete. Immunization records per SB792 was reviewed and in compliance. Mandated Reporter Training Certification was discussed. It can be taken at: www.mandatedreporterca.com
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
