25 | On 9/24/2024 at 2 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gerald Poindexter conducted an unannounced inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by Gloria Hughes, director. LPA observed 22 children present with 9 staff, in 4 rooms – #5, 7, 9 and 11. Facility is within ratio and capacity.

Infant Room 11 - 4 infants and Melissa Wright, lead teacher and Lorelei Torres, aide
LPA toured the facility. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children are inaccessible. Medications are kept in a safe place, inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All toilets, handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors are clean and safe. The child care center was observed to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. Facility maintains carbon monoxide detectors that meet the standards established in Chapter 8 of Part 2 of Division 12.
Playground equipment was observed to be in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space are maintained in safe condition and free of hazards. Children were observed to be under the supervision of qualified staff. An isolation area has been designated for children who becomes ill during the day. Snack menus are posted in a visible place.
