On 6/16/2020 at 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Elise Read and Joelle Redding conducted a case management inspection for the purpose of an increase of capacity. LPAs met with Director Amy Stanley. During the inspection, there were 0 children in care, as the center is closed due to COVID-19.

The facility is requesting a capacity increase from 35 to 40 infants, to be served in rooms #4-7.
The fire clearance was granted on 06/08/2020.

Rooms 4, 5, and 6 were remeasured today, as construction was completed in those rooms. Room #7, which did not change, was previously measured by LPA Nancy Diaz on 01/22/2015 at 996 square feet. The total combined measurements of rooms 4, 5, and 6 today was 1251.615 square feet. Combined with the square footage of room 7, the space is sufficient for 64 infants.

The infant playground was previously measured by LPA Nancy Diaz on 01/22/2015 at 2538 square feet, sufficient for 33 infants. A new playground waiver request was submitted by Director during today's inspection and will need to be granted prior to granting the capacity increase.
The furniture and toys, both inside and out, are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. All rooms have adequate heating, lighting and ventilation, are clean and orderly, and are free of hazards. Infant changing tables have padded washable vinyl at least one inch thick with sides raised at least 3 inches, per regulation and are within arm’s reach of a sink. All storage containers and trashes have tight fitting covers and are in good repair. The main infant napping area with cribs is located in room #7, which is used for the younger infants. The other three infant classrooms are used for older infants, who nap during a specific time on cots.
