25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marie Hernandez conducted the random/annual inspection. LPA met with Facility Director, Amanda Lundy. LPA was given access to inspect the facility. The Director accompanied LPA on the tour of the facility. During today's visit, there are eleven children with four staff. The appropriate ratios and capacity were observed during the inspection. Appropriate care & visual supervision were also observed during the visit while children were napping, eating, or playing. There are no bodies of water and/or fire arms/weapons on the premises. The furniture, equipment and supplies are in good condition, free of sharp loose or pointed parts during the inspection. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition, and is free of hazards during the inspection. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers that are kept on, and are in good repair during the inspection. The areas around or under high climbing equipment, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a child’s fall during the inspection The facility takes measures to keep the facility free of flies, other insects, and rodents during the inspection. The facility has age appropriate furniture, cribs, cots or mats, changing tables, and feeding chairs during the visit. The facility staff is reminded that baby walkers, baby rockers, baby saucers, and baby jumpers are prohibited in the facility. The facility has sufficient infant napping equipment that meets the requirements during the visit. The child care center is clean and is in good repair to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees, and visitors during the inspection. The facility has maintained the fire/disaster drills; the last drill was conducted on 08/12/2019. The Lead Exposure handout was discussed and provided. The required documents are posted. |
