32 | Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the facility, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
On this date, 11/16/2023, the California Attorney General - Megan’s Law website (meganslaw.ca.gov) was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California's Megan's Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility addresses. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. However, the Department conducts a monthly cross reference of each address on record for all registered sex offenders against all CCLD facility addresses pursuant to information shared by California DOJ.
Facility maintains a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than four (4) children in care. Children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. At least one person trained in Pediatric CPR and First Aid is present when children are at the facility. The person who signs the child in and out of the facility shall use their full legal signature and record the time of day. LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete with contact information for authorized representative and others who can assume responsibility for the child and medical assessment. LPA reviewed individual feeding plans, infant needs and services plans, individual sleeping plans and sleeping logs and observed files were complete. LPA reviewed a sample of staff files and observed files were complete with health screening, mandated reporter certification, immunization records and education requirements.
This facility is currently providing Incidental Medical Services – IMS, however have no children requiring medication at this time. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
