1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	This is an amended version of the original report created on 01/07/20 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Rajani Goudreau conducted a virtual case management inspection facility initiated for the purpose of two front and back outdoor playground additions, classroom #3 addition and capacity increase. LPA met with CEO/Owner, Darren Solomon and proceeded to tour the facility. There were no children in care at time of visit. Facility operation hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CEO/Owner, Darren Solomon notified the Department of a proposed classroom and outdoor play area addition and a capacity increase on September 07, 2018. Facility is requesting to increase capacity from 15 to 30 preschoolers. Fire clearance originally granted on December 14, 2018 was later denied on February 07, 2020 due to the second story of facility not meeting the requirements and exceptions under California Building Code 452.1.4, per fire clearance. Therefore, facility will not conduct childcare on the second story of facility (Rooms #1 and #2). Fire clearance dated on May 07, 2020 was granted for lower level classroom #3 for 30 children. Per tour of the facility today, the proposed outdoor front and back playground activity spaces maintain a shaded rest are for the children. The surface of the preschool playgrounds is maintained and in safe conditions and free of hazards. The facility will provide drinking water to day care children through the use of water containers and assigned water bottles. The facility maintains cushioning material through the use of turf. The preschool playgrounds are enclosed by a fence that is at least four feet high. See LIC809-C continuation page...

This is an amended version of the original report created on 01/07/20

All play equipment is age appropriate. Furthermore, LPA toured the lower lever classroom #3. The furniture, toys, books, games and play equipment are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. Classroom #3 has adequate heating, lighting, ventilation, is clean, orderly, and free of hazards. Operational carbon monoxide detector reviewed and operational. First aid kit reviewed. Bathroom located in hallway of facility near classroom #3 has sanitary hand washing areas and in operating condition. Bathroom has three sinks, three urinals and two toilets. The from and back outdoor preschool playgrounds and classroom #3 is in compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, for Child Care Centers.

Lower level classroom #3 located on first story of facility measures a total of 1164.74 square feet in which accommodates 33 children, previously measured on February 25, 2019. Front outdoor play area adjacent to lower level classroom #3 measures a total of 1429.17 square feet in which accommodates 19 children. Back outdoor play area measures 833.61 square feet in which accommodates 11 children. Total front and back outdoor playground areas accommodate 30 children in total. Front and back preschool playgrounds, lower level classroom #3 and capacity request from 15 to 30 is granted effective today’s date May 13, 2020.

No deficiencies issued during today's visit. LPA discussed and will provided the following to CEO/Owner: LIC809, LIC809-C and LIC9213-Notice of Site Visit and appeal rights. LPA informed Owner/CEO once Notice of Site Visit is received to post for 30 days from today's date. COVID-19 State of emergency read receipt notification will be used in place of Owners signature.
