25 | On 2/11/21 Licensing Program Analyst, Michael Morales-DeSilvestore, made an unannounced case management visit for the preschool addition of classroom #2 and 3. A request for room changes was received on 08/21/20. Fire clearance for 60 children was granted on 1/28/21. During the visit there were 11 children present with 2 teachers. Facility is requesting an increase to 60 children.
LPA inspected and measured the rooms. The total square feet, including encumbered space, measures at 1,537.38 square feet, sufficient for 43 children. Facility has a boys and girls restroom with a bathroom capacity for 90 children. There were sufficient age appropriate furnishings, toys, books and games available and no hazards were noted.
Facility has 2 playgrounds available for use. Front playground measured 1,420.58 square feet which is sufficient for 18 children. Back playground measured 738.71 sq square feet which is sufficient for 9 children. Facility total outdoor play space is sufficient for 27 children at one time. Facility will need to apply for a playground waiver to accommodate their capacity increase.
Based on indoor square footage the increase would be for 43 children.
The following corrections are needed prior to increase approval: Back playground fencing must measure 4 feet (currently measures 3'10") and approved playground waiver.
Facility was emailed the report/appeal rights and notice of site visit. Notice of site visit must be posted for 30 days. Facility will confirm receipt of the report.
