25 | On 11/30/21, at 10:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Luigi Gargaro, conducted an unannounced annual inspection for the infant license and met with assistant director, Cathy Edwards. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. This is a full day program which operates year around. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 6:00AM to 6:00PM. There are currently two classroom(s) in operation. Classrooms are: the infant classroom (serves children ages 6 weeks through 16 months) and the toddler classroom (serves children ages16-24 months). The following ratios were observed: There were 20 children present with five staff members: Stephanie Gonzalez, Monzerrat Castanon, Vianett Chimal, Frida Sofia Ortiz and Graciela Solorio in the infant classroom and 16 children present with four staff members: Patricia Martinez, Cynthia Verdugo, Veronica Garcia Molinero and Nathaly Guillen in the toddler classroom.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. All kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents. There is a working carbon monoxide detector. |
