32 | During parent interviews, no parents indicated any concern regarding the smell within the facility. Additionally, LPA Campana visited and toured the facility on multiple occasions during this investigation and did not detect any concerning odors.
Regarding the allegation that the facility air conditioning unit is in disrepair, LPA toured the facility, reviewed HVAC service invoices, and interviewed nine (9) staff members and five (5) daycare parents. During staff interviews, no staff members indicated that the temperature inside rooms was a matter of concern. During parent interviews, no parents expressed any concern over the temperature inside the facility. During LPA tours of facility, the temperature within the infant and toddler rooms was comfortable and observed to be within the range specified in regulation. Additionally, HVAC invoices reviewed demonstrated that air conditioning unit is properly maintained.
Regarding the allegation that staff are comingling daycare children, LPA interviewed nine (9) staff members and conducted tours of the facility. During staff interviews, no staff members stated having witnessed daycare children being commingled. During LPA tours of facility, no evidence of comingling was observed.
Regarding the allegation that facility carpeting and rugs are not maintained in good condition, LPA interviewed nine (9) staff members and five (5) daycare parents. LPA also toured facility and reviewed cleaning supply receipts and carpet extractor technical data sheets. During staff interviews, seven (7) out of nine (9) staff members expressed concern with the frequency in which carpets were being cleaned. During interviews with daycare parents, no parents expressed any concern regarding the condition of the carpets at the facility. During LPA tours of the facility, the carpets were inspected and appeared to be clean and in good condition. During review of carpet extractor technical data sheets, the facility carpet extractor was determined to be of commercial grade and suitable for use in a daycare setting.
Regarding the allegation that facility toys are not maintained in good condition, LPA interviewed nine (9) staff members and inspected facility toys. During staff member interviews, none of the staff members interviewed expressed any concern regarding the condition of facility toys. During LPA tours of the facility, toys were inspected and determined to be in good condition. |
