32 | It was alleged staff use inappropriate hygiene practices, specifically staff do not wash their hands after diaper changes. Furthermore, toys are not sanitized, and a single wipe is used to clean multiple children. Staff and two (2) prior substitute teachers assert toys were regularly cleaned and sanitized. Staff and the two (2) prior substitute teachers also state staff wear gloves during diaper changes and wash their hands after each change. A parent of a prior day-care child stated about six (6) months ago, they observed an unknown staff member conduct consecutive diaper changes while wearing the same gloves and not wash their hands between diaper changes. Staff denied single wipes are used on multiple children.
Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are unsubstantiated.
