25 | On 8/26/21, at 2.25 p.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Casey Gulley conducted an unannounced case management-licensee initiated site inspection. Purpose of this inspection is to address facility’s request to utilize an outdoor play area and to utilize former storage space for children in care. Fire clearance was granted on 8/18/21. It is to be noted that there are no changes in the capacity or square footage.
Upon today’s arrival, LPA met with Julie Mora. LPA continued to tour the facility and observed a total of children present in the following classrooms:
Room 1: Little Miracles 7 children with 1 Teacher and 1 Aide
Room 2: Little Blessings 9 children with 2 Teacher
Room 3: Little Gifts 11 children with 2 Teacher
Room 4: Little Promises 8 children 1 Teacher
LPA toured room classroom. Furniture and age appropriate equipment is in good condition. Floors are clean and safe. Cleaning supplies are locked and are inaccessible to children. Julie Mora stated that the oven will remain locked and unplugged and will not be used. Meals are provided on site in a different area which is inaccessible to children in care.
LPA measured outdoor play areas during time of inspection. It measured a total of 566 square feet, which will accommodate a total of 7(seven) children. LPA toured and inspected all outdoor play area and equipment to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Furniture and age appropriate equipment is in good condition. Drinking water is readily accessible via water pitches. Outdoor play area are fenced with adequate material for cushioning. Areas have canopies/trees used for shade. There are no bodies of water or weapons at this facility. No excluded individuals are present. Playground and additional space in classroom is approved to be used for outdoor play effective 8/26/21. |
