On April 04, 2023, at 09:19 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Courtnee Peebles arrived unannounced to Next Generation Educational Center (CCC) and met with director, Geralyn Windt to discuss the investigative finding of the allegation listed above. On April 04, 2023 at 9:1 AM, LPA conducted a tour and census of the CCC. During the investigation, LPA conducted confidential interviews with eleven staff (D,AD, S1,S2,S3,S4,S5,S6,S7,S8,S9,S10).

On March 24, 2023, a complaint was received with allegations stating, Staff speak to day care children in an inappropriate manner. Confidential interviews revealed teachers do not speak to the children in a inappropriate or hostile manner. Confidential interviews revealed that staff go through an extensive amount of training with speaking to and handling children. Interviews also revealed when a staff member does speak harshly the director immediately addresses said employee and reminds them to use ”kind words” when speaking to children.

Based on confidential interviews conducted during the investigation the allegation that Staff speak to day care children in an inappropriate manner, is not supported or proven by evidence. Therefore, the above allegations are unsubstantiated. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. A copy of this report and appeal rights were given and explained to Director Geralyn Windt.
