On 10/20/21 at 10:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane arrived at the facility to conduct a Case Management Inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Sharon Hontz and Chief Operations Officer (COO), Ebony James and proceeded to tour the facility. There were 34 children in care with six (6) staff members at time of inspection. Licensee is requesting a capacity increase from 64 children to 71 preschool children (age 2 - 5 years). Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm.

Upon a records review, LPA observed that Staff #1 (S1) did not have a criminal record clearance associated to this facility. Per the Director, Sharon Hontz, S1 has been working at this facility since 6/26/2020, Monday - Friday 7:15am - 4:00pm.

The following rooms were inspected and previously measured the following:
· Voyagers Room measured a total of 676.61 square feet
· Steam Room measured a total of 195.73 square feet
· Library measured a total of 156.99 square feet
· Explorers and Investigators Room measured a total of 1,487.53 square feet

The total indoor space measured a total of 2,516. 85 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate 71 children. The Steam room and the library are located in the Voyagers room. The classrooms are equipped with appropriate furniture, napping equipment (cots), tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves and other materials for children. There are six (6) toilets and six (6) sinks, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. LPA informed Ms. James, children are to be escorted and supervised by staff to and from the restrooms and direct visual observation is required at all times. Drinking water is available inside and outside through the use of water pitchers and refillable water bottles brought from home. The director's office and staff restroom will be used for isolation if a child becomes ill.
