25 | On 10/25/21 at 9:15 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst, Joelle Redding, met with Director Sandra Marlor for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. There were 100 children and 14 children present as follows: PS 1: 19 children with two teachers; PS2: 18 children with two teachers; PS4: 21 children with two teachers; PS5: 11 children with two teachers; Toddler A: 10 children with two teachers; Toddler B: 11 children with 2 teachers; Toddler C: 10 children with a teacher and an Aide w/units. Facility is within ratio and capacity.
LPA toured the facility. The rooms were clean, orderly and a comfortable temperature during this visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. There is a variety of activities available throughout the day. All required forms were posted. All storage containers and trashes have tight fitting lids and are in good repair. Parents provide all food. Refrigeration is available if needed. Drinking water is readily available. Napping equipment is sufficient for each child, bedding is stored separately, and mats/cots are disinfected after use. Facility has ensured that there is adequate space between naps/cots for easy passage and that mats/cots are not blocking entrances or exits.
Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary and operating condition. Any waste water used to clean is being discarded after use. Medications are kept in emergency backpacks in the classroom, inaccessible to children. Poisons, disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous to children have been made inaccessible. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity.
