1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Yolanda Baez and Elizabeth Rivera arrived at the facility to conduct a pre-licensing inspection. LPAs met with Applicant Alison Wachtel and Director Pauline Ascue. This Preschool program operates in the Classroom 1, Classroom 2, and the Reading Room. The hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 2:30pm. This center is located directly next to Ranch View Baptist Church. Classroom 1, Classroom 2, and the Reading Room were inspected and measured during this inspection and measure the following: Classroom 1: Preschool Class (ages 2 through Kindergarten): measured 469.67 square feet Classroom 2: Preschool Class (ages 2 through Kindergarten): measured 346.05 square feet Reading Room: Preschool Class (ages 2 through Kindergarten): measured 88.47 square feet. The total measurements for all classrooms measured 904.19 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 25 children but not sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 27 children. All classrooms are equipped with age appropriate furniture including tables, chairs, bookshelves, and other materials for the children. There are a total of 3 toilets, 1 changing table, and 3 sinks available for the children's use, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 27 children. Drinking water is available in all of the classrooms via water pitchers and disposable cups in each classroom. There is a separate bathroom for staff across the hallway from the children's restrooms and it is kept inaccessible through the use of a safety gate. The staff bathroom is equipped with 1 toilet and 1 sink and will be used as an isolation bathroom for children who are ill. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous substances are kept inaccessible. The kitchen area/ office area currently includes 1 sink, 1 refrigerator with a freezer, storage units, 1 stove, and a trash can. The kitchen area/office area will be used as an isolation area for children who are ill. Lunches and snacks will be provided by parents. The center will be providing hand written sign in and sign out. All required documents are posted. There is a carbon monoxide detector, smoke alarm, and first aid kit with required supplies. ...Continuation on page 2...

The facility has two Preschool playgrounds, one is located directly outside of "Classroom 2" and was measured at 1,064.58 square feet, which is sufficient for only 14 Preschool age children at one time. The Preschool playground is a cement play ground that is complete with age-appropriate play equipment, shade area, cement walk way, and is surrounded by a 4 foot high fence. The second Preschool Play ground, also known as the main playground, is located in the middle of the parking lot and was measured at 2,214.84 square feet, which is sufficient for 29 Preschool age children at one time. The main playground has sufficient material for cushioning (dirt), is complete with age-appropriate play equipment, trees for shade, cement walk way, and is surrounded by a 4 foot high fence. Children have access to water outdoors via water pitcher and disposable cups. This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS and has submitted a Plan of Operation. A fire clearance was granted on 07/11/19 for 27 Preschoolers.

Because the total measurements for all indoor classrooms measured 904.19 square feet (sufficient to accommodate 25 children) Applicant agreed to license for 25 children instead of the original requested capacity of 27 children.
