25 | On 09/30/2021, at 11:35 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Hood, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Director. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors.
This school-age program operates at Village Elementary School in the Multi-Purpose, Library (Building B), and P.E. room. Director stated the following classrooms are not currently being used: #703, #707 and #709; however, would like to keep the classrooms on the current license. Facility operates 6:30 a.m. to 8:05 a.m., and 11:40 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. everyday during school session and 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (breaks, camp, and school closure).
There is no other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. All toilets and hand-washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors in the facility are clean and safe. Food preparation area is located in the director’s office, which includes one refrigerator, and food supply storage. All food is protected against contamination. Contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Menus are posted monthly where an authorized representative can view them. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. All playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around high climbing equipment, swings and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. The Department has inspection authority as specified in Health & Safety Code. |
