25 | On 08/31/20 at 12:30 p.m., Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Tulam Vu, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Rajani Goudreau and Michelle Hood arrived at the facility to conduct a pre-licensing inspection. Upon arrival LPA, met with Director of Programs and Quality Assurance, Barbara Saxton, Program Director, Patricia Smith and Director, Maria Sifuentes and proceeded to tour the facility. The facility is requested a capacity of 72; serving ages 2 through 5 years old. This preschool program operates in the Sun classroom #1, Moon classroom #2 and the Stars classroom #3. Facility plans to operate from Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This facility is a tTtle-5 program, per verification from the Department of Education.
All classrooms were inspected and measured during this inspection and they measure the following:
· Room #1: Preschool Sun classroom (2 through 5 years old): measured a total of 1007.03 square feet
· Room #2: Preschool Moon classroom (2 through 5 years old): measured a total of 1007.03 square feet
· Room #3: Preschool Stars classroom (2 through 5 years old): measured a total of 1007.03 square feet
The total indoor capacity is 3,021.09 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 86 children at one time; however, at this time the facility is only requesting a capacity of 72. The classrooms are equipped with appropriate furniture and napping equipment (mats) including tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, and other materials for the children. Each of the classrooms contain two restrooms with two toilets and two sinks. Each classroom consists of two sinks outside each of the restroom. There are a total number of 6 toilets and 12 sinks available for children's use. The number of toilets and sinks is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 72 children.
