25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with an intermin Site Director, Brianne Huang. The purpose of the inspection was explained to her. There were 42 children with 8 staff present. There was a parent present for a birthday party in the classroom during the inspection. LPA toured the facility for health and safety hazards. The preschool program was run in 2 major classrooms (Oak room, and Redwood room) and 2 Multi-purpose rooms (Bunny room & Nap room - for napping or other activities). Facility met teacher/child ratio. All adults had fingerprint clearance. The facility was clean and in order. The temperature and lighting were adequate. All toxins and harmful objects were made inaccessible to the children. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning material, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repaired. Right amount of cubbies were available for the children to store their personal belongings in each classroom. There were two children's bathrooms including total of 4 toilets, two urinals and 5 sinks available for children. Separated staff bathrooms were available for staff. All electrical outlets were covered. The facility had a mid-size fish tank with tide lid in the Redwood room. The facility has provided snacks for children only. Children have brought their own lunch. Per Site Director, the facility has provided the food that has been delivered by Georgia's Pizza to the children every Friday. First aid supplies were available in the classrooms. Cots were available for napping. Parents have bought the blankets home to wash every Friday. Sick children will be separated from the group and place to the office while waiting for their parents to pick up. Facility had a waiver to use the public play grounds/parks near the center for outdoor play. The facility have taken the children to the park with the yellow school bus daily or upon the weather. The facility has conducted the emergency drills monthly. There were couple of children on special medication. LPA reviewed the medication and documents during the inspection. The facility posted all the required postings by the main entrance. LPA reviewed the staff and children's files during the inspection. LPA also obtained a copy of the current children's roster from the licensee during the inspection. All staff had current CPR/First Aid training, and Mandated Reporter Training (AB1207).
