25 | On 9/19/19 at 1:50 P.M., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van met with teacher, Hu Mei Yi, for an unannounced annual random inspection. The purpose of the inspection was explained, and was granted entry to the facility by the teacher. This is a Title 5 Preschool program. Present today are 35 children with 6 teachers. Staff to children ratio are met. LPA observed that facility has an electronic sign in / out record with full legal signatures from parent or authorized representative. Days and hours of operations are from Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
With teacher, LPA inspected the day care areas for health and safety hazards. The facility is in good repair, free of any hazards, and has proper temperature and ventilation. Variety of age appropriate toys and learning materials for children are available. Classroom is set up for child care; furniture, equipment, sufficient amount of sleeping mats for children are available. All children's chairs and table have rounded corner. There are no pools, spas or other bodies of water at the facility. All bathrooms, toilets and sinks are clean and well sanitized. Per teacher, there are no firearms or weapons at the center. Facility has smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher and a working telephone at the site. All cleaning solutions, poisons and other chemicals that are dangerous stored inaccessible to children. Sick children will be separated from the group and will be waiting in the front desk location for parents to pick up.
LPA observed the unused electrical outlets have covers installed. Facility has water fountain and water bottles brought from home readily available for children. Per teacher, This center provides Incidental Medical Service (IMS), however, this current school year, facility does not have any child on IMS plan. Per teacher, the center provides snacks, breakfast, and lunch for children. Teacher stated food are prepared and delivered from chefables. LPA observed the food preparation area is clean, organize, and foods store appropriately.
