There are no pools or bodies of water in the premises. All cleaning supplies, poisons, and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children.
Infant children sleep in a crib located in the day-care area and preschool-age children sleep on age-appropriate cots. All children sleep in the "main day-care area”, under the supervision of the Aides and/or Licensee S1. LPA reviewed the Sleep Check Records and found them to be complete.
There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, a smoke alarm detector, and a carbon monoxide detector. There is a working telephone on site. The phone number listed for Licensee is current. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home.
LPAs reviewed five children's records. LPA also reviewed facility records. LPAs found that the five children's files had complete records. Both Licensee and the 2 aides have CPR & First Aid Certificates that are valid. The licensee's Mandated Reporter Training is up to date.
According to the licensee, the last Emergency drill was conducted on 04/17/2025.
LPAs observed a blanket in the crib while the child was sleeping. S2, removed the blanket right away. A Technical Violation was issued:
Per S1, there are no children enrolled with allergies.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS Information Department. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption or transfer their existing clearance or exemption prior to the initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this Regulation is violated.
