25 | On 7/25/2024 at 11:55AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luis Gomez met with Principal, Danielle Loughridge. The purpose of today's visit was explained and was for an unannounced, Annual Random inspection. This facility is licensed to operate a preschool program. Present was principal and 6 staff supervising 23 children. Children present had been signed-in by guardians. Program utilizes three classrooms: #3; #4; and #5 and the shared, outdoor play area. Signed waiver, for rotational use of outdoor space, was observed posted in facility. Per principal program operates year around, and classroom #4 is closed. LPA inspected facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards.
At 12:10PM., LPA observed the following: Classrooms were clean, neat, with age-appropriate materials and playthings available. Floors and surfaces are clear of obstructions. Classrooms were equipped with tables and chairs, scaled to the appropriate size. LPA observed individual cubbies for storage of children’s belongings. Furniture and materials inspected were and free of sharp corners or splinters. The children’s bathrooms were clean with the fixtures in operating condition. Classrooms had additional drawers and cabinets available for staff. LPA observed trash bins and outlets have been covered.
For scheduled rest/ nap services, facility has foldable plastic mats stored inside the cubbies. Per director, blankets are taken home weekly to be washed.
LPA reminded facility to remove napping mats with rips or any exposed padding. Advisory Note: Technical Violation (LIC9102TV) was issued. (REFER TO 809C, FOR CONT.)
