25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luis J. Gomez, conducted a Case Management inspection and met with site principal, Laura Juarez. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present during the inspection is the principal, vice principal and four staff supervising 28 Preschool children. At 8:40am on March 11, 2020 LPA inspected facility with vice principal, for health and safety hazards.
During today's inspection, LPA interviewed administrator, staff, children and reviewed facilities files.
LPA and site principal discussed an incident which occurred on January 17, 2020, involving a day-care child, C1, and a staff member. C1 stating to have been inappropriately pushed in the back of the head, by a staff member on-site, during the program nap time. S1 immediately comforted the child and notified administration of the incident. Site principal conducted observations and contacted C1’s guardian for a follow-up meeting.
Based on interviews performed and a facility file review, LPA is unable to determine if a staff member caused an injury to a day-care child.
No deficiencies were cited against the facility under CCR,Title 22, Div. 12, Ch. 1.
