25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Winnie Ly met with Teacher Majory Pollock for an Unannounced Annual Random visit today. Purpose of the visit was explained. Per Teacher, there are 3 staff working for the Early Education Program. There was one teacher that is off today. There are 11 children and 2 staff present today. Facility meets teacher/child ratio today. Facility is only using room 4 at this time and 12 children are enrolled in the program.
Indoor areas were inspected today for health and safety hazards. There is a bathroom inside the classroom with one toilet and one urinal. There is one sink in the bathroom and one sink in the classroom available for children's use. Separated staff bathrooms are available for staffs on site. Classroom is clean, safe, and are set up with age appropriate furniture, equipment, and materials. Ventilation, heating and lighting are adequate. School provides breakfast, lunch and snacks for children and are provided by Revolution Foods. Water is available to the children by water fountain and children bring their own water bottles. First aid supplies are available for children in each classroom at the center. Emergency supplies are available at the Facility. Sick children will be separated from the group and place in the nursing office while waiting for their parents to pick up. Outdoor space is shared with the Elementary School with a scheduled outdoor play time. Children only go outside when there is no other children outside.
Facility has posted the required forms (ie License, menus, Notification of Parent's Rights, Notification of Personal Rights, Car Seat Law, and Emergency Disaster Plan). Fire and Earthquake drills are done about every month according to District Schedule and was properly logged. All parents have signed in today. At least one staff member has been trained for CPR and First Aid.
