25 | Licensing Program Analyst’s, (LPA) Luis J. Gomez and Cindy Interiano met with Director, Christina Gutierrez. The purpose of the visit was explained and is for an unannounced annual inspection. This center is a preschool program. Program utilizes 1 classroom and an outdoor play area. Hours of operation are Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm. Program operates an AM session from 830a-12p and PM session from 1230p-4p. Present is the Director and 5 staff supervising 22 PreK children. Facility is within capacity limits of the license. All children present are properly signed-in. LPAs and Director inspected facility for health and safety hazards.
On October 11, 2019 LPAs inspected the classroom. LPAs observed classroom is clean, organized and have plenty of age appropriate toys and books for the children. Classroom has several child size tables and chairs. There has acceptable ventilation and natural lighting. Classrooms have a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fully charged fire extinguisher (3A40BC) located in the hallway. First aid kit and an emergency disaster supplies are available. Program provides daily meals: Breakfast/Lunch/PM snack.
On October 11, 2019 LPAs inspected outdoor play for safety hazards and dangerous conditions. Facility has water available for the children indoors and outdoors. Outdoor play area is free of debris, hazards or dangerous conditions.
On October 11, 2019 LPA reviewed the facility roster. Staff CPR/ 1st aid certification are up to date.
Emergency drills are done monthly, with the last drill conducted on, 10/01/19 and is properly logged. LPAs all required licensing information properly posted in facility lobby, including menus.
