13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van conducted an unannounced subsequent complaint investigation and met with the lead teacher, Teri Cummings. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection and granted entry to the facility by the teacher. Present, 7 teachers are supervising 32 children. The facility is operating within the teachers/children ratio.
LPA and the lead teacher inspected the inside and out of the facility for health and safety hazards. As part of this complaint investigation, the Principal, teachers, a child were interviewed. Records, documentation from school internal investigation, and written statements from teachers were reviewed and obtained. Based on the available information, there is insufficient evidence to support the allegation that the staff hit a child during daycare. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur. Therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
An exit interview was conducted with the licensee. This report and the rights to comment were discussed with Licensee. This report must be available in the facility for public review. Notice of site visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's visit.
