25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrea Medlin met with director for this random annual licensing visit. Purpose of visit explained. Days and hours of operation: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-6:00PM. There are 22 children present during the visit. Facility meets teacher/child ratio. The facility has fully charged fire extinguishers that meet the minimum requirements, smoke detectors, and a carbon monoxide (CO) detector. Children's bathrooms inspected; all toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. No pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water are present. Per director, there are no firearms or weapons on site. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children are inaccessible. Variety of age appropriate toys and materials for children are available. Facility is set up for child care and furniture and equipment for children is present. Facility uses foldable mats for napping which are individually labled and stored; parent's bring home napping supplies once a week to wash. Adequate first aid supplies are available. Sick children will be separated from the group while waiting for parents to pick up. Snacks are provided by the facility; lunch is provided by parents. Facility has an outdoor waiver for playground space. Facility has posted all the required licensing forms in a prominent accessible location. LPA reviewed staff and children's files. In the children’s files, all have current immunizations and a copy of Parent's Rights. In the staff files reviewed, all have the verification of meeting the educational requirements; verification of the required staff immunizations, or proof of immunity, and staff have mandated child abuse reporting training. All staff have current Pediatric First Aid and CPR.
