25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the Site Director, Carolyne Cook. The purpose of the inspection was explained to her. There were 18 children with 2 staff present. Per the Site Director, the facility will be permanently closed by 8/12/2022. Another child care facility will take over the same location in the future. Per the Site Director, they have used Room #12 for the School-age program until the last day of the program on 6/30/22. Facility was a combination center with preschool, infant/ toddler, TK and after school program. LPA toured the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order. Temperature and lighting were adequate. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning material, and children's furniture available for the children indoor and outdoor. Cleaning products and Toxins were maintained locked or inaccessible to children. The classroom had an adjacent bathroom available for the children. Restroom was maintained clean, in good repair and with adequate supplies. Cubbies were located inside the classrooms. Drinking water was readily available both indoors and outdoors by water fountains. Outdoor play area was fenced, clean, free of debris and in safe condition. There was adequate food supply for all children in care, and the food was stored properly. The menu was posted in the center. At least a staff had current CPR/First Aid certificate available for review during the inspection. All the required postings were posted. Per Site Director, there were no children on special medication. LPA randomly reviewed the staff file during the inspection.
