25 | On May 25, 2023 at 8:50 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cowan met with Pedagogical Coordinator, Francis Wittman-Rosenzweig, for a 1 Year Required Inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained, and LPA is allowed access. The director is not at the facility currently, but is expected soon. Present, in the facility is coordinator, 9 staff, and 36 children in care. Facility is operating within its capacity, and facility is in compliance with staff / child ratio on this day. Facility operates day care Monday to Friday from 08:15 AM to 5:30 PM.
At 9:00 AM, LPA inspected the day care rooms and play yard. LPA observed facility has installed smoke detectors, a working carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone on site. All cleaning solutions, poisons and other chemicals dangerous to the children are stored inaccessible to the children. Facility has age appropriate furniture. Facility floor is in good repair and free of any hazards.
There are first aid supplies available in the classrooms. The bathroom is in working condition. Facility has a sufficient amount of sleeping matts available. Bedding is sent home weekly for cleaning. Play yard is free of hazards. There is a sufficient amount of padding to help absorb the impact of falls. There is water available on the yard as well as in the classroom.

At 10:00 AM, site director, Nika Greenberg, arrived to continue the inspection with LPA.
LPA observed that facility is using electronic sign in / out. Facility has license and all other required documents posted and visible for the public. Facility’s last emergency drill was conducted 4/20/23 and is properly logged. At 10:09 AM, LPA reviewed the facility records. LPA reviewed 5 random children's files and 5 staff files. Files are complete with all required Licensing documents. Per director, all contact information of file is current.
LPA discussed facility files as well as facility fixtures with site director. Per director, the facility is planning to relocate temporarily while the building will be renovated for the next two years.
