25 | On January 12, 2023 at approximately 9:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with facility's health and safety director, Nedzada Baldwin, and explained the purpose of the visit. Center director was not present during LPA's visit. Health and safety director is designated with facility responsibility.
Facility is a combination center that includes an infant, preschool and school age program, each with a separate license. Facility operates as a Bright Horizons "back up" center that is provided to families that are contracted with family's employers. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm. Under infant license, there are 2 staff members present with 4 infants. On site there are 2 additional staff members (including health and safety director) and additional preschool age child. Facility is operating within capacity limits and ratio during LPA's visit.
With health and safety director, LPA inspected entire facility for health and safety hazards. Infant program includes two classrooms that are separated into younger infants (0-12 months) and older infants or toddlers (12-24 months). Per health and safety director, depending on enrollment for that day, infant children can be combined into one infant classroom.
LPA observed both infant and toddler classroom to have age appropriate toys, materials and furniture for crawling, balancing and walking infants. In infant classroom, a separate area is utilized for napping children that is equipped with cribs and appropriate bedding. In toddler classroom, mats are utilized for napping children. Per health and safety director, sheets are laundered after each use. LPA observed both classrooms to have a changing table that is within arm's reach to an adult sink. The toddler classroom also includes a bathroom for toddlers potty training. LPA observed bathroom to be in proper working condition, equipped with appropriate sanitation products.
