25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Farhan Bashir-Tariq conducted an announced case management inspection today and met with Director, Veronique Baumbach. This inspection was conducted via Zoom Meeting due to COVID-19. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Facility is requesting for two new rooms (115,116) to be incorporated into licensed day care area. Facility does not want to make any changes to their capacity at this point. No measurements were taken as part of this inspection and rooms were only inspected for health and safety hazards with Director.
Facility is operating and sharing site with elementary school located in the same building. Preschool has seven rooms in total, all rooms are located on the first floor. Per Director, room # 115 and # 116 will be added to preschool site. LPA did not observe any health and safety hazards in the rooms. Both rooms have a similar layout with a door on entrance. Bathrooms are located outside the classrooms and will be shared between these two rooms. There is also a sink available in each classroom for hand washing. Storage cabinets are located above and around the sink area. Per Director, chemicals and toxics are not stored in any classroom cabinets. Facility has a main building fire and sprinkler system installed throughout the facility and in classrooms. Per Director, carbon monoxide detectors will be installed in both rooms. Hand washing posters for children need to be posted on all sinks in each classroom. During the inspection, LPA also helped with issued related to COVID-19. Posters for CVOID-19 and Social Distancing Practices should be posted in facility classrooms and hallways. Fire clearance has been received from San Francisco Fire Department.
As of today, September 9, 2020, Room #115, and #116, are being incorporated into the daycare.
