32 | Pesticide regulations were discussed with the principal. In accordance with the Healthy Schools Act, California law requires that anyone using any pesticide must be trained every year in integrated pest management and the safe use of pesticides around children. The principal was advised that a free one hour online course is available on the Department of Pesticide Regulation's Web site: www.cdpr.ca.gov/schoolipm/training. For questions, email ccipmlist@cdpr.ca.gov.
The principal was reminded that all adults 18 years and older working at the facility, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, before initial presence in a licensed Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services-IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
