School yard playground consists of a climbing structure that was observed to have resilient padding underneath. Program provides afternoon snacks that are stored in main CASA Bungalow. Individual drinking bottles and accessible water fountains are available throughout facility.
Program offers activities that provide children time to complete homework, have outside play, arts and crafts and indoor play time. All required licensing documents are properly posted in main CASA Bungalow. Last emergency drill was conducted 10/12/2022. Emergency drills are properly documented.
LPA reviewed facility records which included 10 random children's files and 10 staff member's files (whom were present during inspection) which were complete. Children's files have record of emergency information identification available for review. Staff files provide proof of required immunizations. At least one staff member on site has a valid CPR and First Aid certificate that will expire 09/2023.
Facility was informed that as of September 1, 2016, a person may not be employed or volunteer at a child care facility unless he or she has been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles or qualifies for an exemption pursuant to Health and Safety code 1596.7995 and 1597.662.
Executive director is aware that all staff is required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com. LPA observed the completion certificate on file. LPA encourages the executive director to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates.
Executive director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
