25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Xiao Ling Liao, and 2 helpers, and explained the purpose of the inspection to them. Adult residents and helpers have fingerprint clearance. LPA observed 10 children including 3 infants with the licensee and helpers present during the inspection. Per the licensee, one of the children is the licensee's granddaughter. The facility is called PING PING CHILD CARE and the operation hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The licensee owns and lives with her husband and 3 tenants in this 2 stories single-family house. The Daycare areas are the entire lower level of the home & a backyard. The Off-limits areas are the whole upstairs, a garage, and a storage room on the lower level. The daycare entrance has a side gate and a doorbell with a camera system for security purposes. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order, the temperature and lighting were adequate, and toxins and harmful objects were made inaccessible to the children in the daycare areas. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials and equipment, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repair available for the children indoors. There was a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, a working cellular phone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and first aid supplies available. The licensee installed soft cushioning on the entire floor to prevent injury in the daycare areas. The facility had the right amount of cubbies with children's names and pictures available for the children to store their personal belongings in the drop-off & pick-up areas by the main entrance. The licensee installed gates at the entrance to the kitchen area from the hallway and the stairway to the upper level in the main classroom. The facility also had a door between a kitchen (Eating area) and a main classroom (play area). The licensee covered all the electrical outlets and sharp corners in the daycare areas. Boosters were available and used for feeding only. The kitchen area (Eating area) was clean and in order. The lower kitchen cabinets and drawers were latched. The licensee installed a childproof knob to a door of the storage room in the kitchen area. The children's bathroom next to the kitchen area was clean and in order. The licensee made the toxins and harmful objects inaccessible to the children there. Diaper changing mats were available in the bathroom. The facility had a children-size toilet available for the children in it. Cots and Playpens were available and used for napping. The outdoor play yard was completely fenced. The licensee installed soft cushioning on the entire ground in the yard to prevent injury. There were plenty of age-appropriate outdoor toys, play house, play and slide structures, and ride-on-toys available for the children. The facility provides breakfast, AM/PM snacks, lunch, and dinner to daycare children. Children had their water bottles. The facility provides drinking water in a pitcher. The facility also had bibs available for children when they eat. The licensee has no guns, weapons, or pets in the house. Per the licensee, there were no children on special medication. The facility conducts the disaster drills monthly and logs. The licensee and her helpers had current CPR/First Aid training and Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training that will expire on 5/2026 and 5/2025. The facility subscribed to Child Care Insurance that will expire in 5/2025. LPA reviewed children's files and staff files, 15-minute nap check log, and obtained a copy of the current children's roster during the inspection. The facility posted all the required documents in the drop-off & pick-up areas.
