25 | On March 24, 2022 at 9:15am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual, required inspection. LPA met with site director, Ana Padilla, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Facility is a Montessori program with 2 classrooms (first floor and second floor) in the building. Program is currently operating on the first floor of the building only. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. At the start of the inspection, site director, teacher (T1), and 17 enrolled children were present. Facility is operating within teacher to child ration on this date.
With site director, LPA inspected day care areas currently being used for health and safety hazards. Classroom is designed as a Montessori program with sections separated into sensorial, language, and mathematic areas. Classroom is equipped with a variety of age appropriate toys and materials. Facility contains stairs that are barricaded.
At approximately 9:30am, additional teacher (T2) arrived to facility during inspection. LPA observed storage for children's belongings to be located outside the classroom, labeled with each child's individual names. LPA observed facility has an installation of a fire alarm system as well as smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and fully charged fire extinguishers. All poisons, cleaning solutions and hazardous materials are stored inaccessible to children.
At approximately 9:50am, licensee arrived to facility during inspection. Outdoor area is separated into sections for gross motor play and quiet play. LPA observed facility to maintain outdoor waiver. LPA did not observe any pools, spas or bodies of water in outdoor area. There were a variety of outdoor equipment that are in good working condition. Children are signed in and out of facility by parents' written signatures. Facility has license documentation and information properly posted and available for review.
