Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with the licensee, Amy Mancasola, and her helper. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to her. There were 6 children (Preschoolers) with a helper present upon LPA's arrival, and another helper arrived at the facility during the inspection. The licensee and staff had fingerprint clearance associated with the facility. The licensee owned and lived with her husband and her 2 children in the 2 stories Single Family house. The facility was called "TREEHOUSE PRE-K" and the operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The main entrance of the facility was located left side of the house. The daycare areas were the entire lower level including 2 rooms (A purple room and a main room) and a backyard except for a garage. The off-limit areas were the entire upper level and a garage. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order. The lighting and temperature were adequate. The licensee made the toxic and harmful objects inaccessible to the children. A gate was installed at the stairway to the upper level. A door to the garage was latched. The licensee covered all the electrical outlets even the outlets had built-in blockage. The facility had the right amount of hooks available for the children to hang their belongings by the main entrance. There was a food preparation area with a refrigerator in the main playroom. The lower sink cabinets and drawers in the food preparation area were free of harmful objects. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials and equipment, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repair. There was a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working 2-in-1 smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and first aid supplies available. Per the licensee, there were no guns or weapons in the house. She had a small dog kept in the off-limit areas. The children's bathroom was clean and in order. It had 2 toilets and 2 sinks, and a lower bathroom sink cabinet was free of harmful objects. The outdoor play yard was completely fenced and full of play bark on the entire ground. It had a big slide and swing play structure with the play bark underneath as soft cushioning to prevent injury. The license also had some toys and children's furniture that were in good condition and repair. Mats were used for napping. Daycare children brought their food to the daycare. The facility provided AM/PM snacks and drinking water that was served in a water pitcher with cups for the children. Per the licensee, there was a child on special medication. The licensee posted all the required postings. LPA reviewed the children and staff files and obtained a copy of the current children's roster during the inspection.
