25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marie Rodriguez conducted an unannounced Annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee Lisa Chinchilla and explained purpose of inspection. Present in home were the Licensee, her husband, a helper, and 3 children. Licensee is operating within capacity requirements on this day. All adults living or working in the home have a criminal record clearance on file. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:15am to 3:45pm.
Day Care Areas: Lower level only:Playroom #1, playroom #2, playroom #3, room #1, bathroom #1, and backyard. Off Limit Areas: Lower level:Basement. Entire upper level of home. LPA toured day care areas of home with Licensee. LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. There are no bodies of water on the property. There is a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which are in good condition. Backyard is fenced for supervision. There are age appropriate outdoor toys and equipment which are in good repair. Play structure has sufficient cushioning underneath. All cleaning supplies, poisons, and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to children. There is a working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, a fully charged fire extinguisher, and a working telephone.
Six children records reviewed were complete. All children have a record of emergency identification information on file. Licensee and helper records reviewed were complete. Licensee's Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate expires February 2023. Last emergency drill was conducted October 2021. Emergency drills are conducted at least once every six months and are properly logged.
No deficiencies cited today under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12.
