There were 56 children with 4 teachers & 8 Para staff present. The facility runs the Preschool Program in Room #1, #2, and #4. Per Nkechi, Room # 3 is used for TK children that is not under preschool program. The operation hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30AM to 5:30PM. LPA toured and inspected the facility for health and safety hazard. The facility was clean and in order. Temperature and lighting were adequate in each classroom. All toxins and harmful objects were locked or made inaccessible to children in each classroom. There was an adjacent children bathroom with 2 toilets and 2 sinks in each classroom. Right amount of cubbies were available for children to store their own belongings in each classroom. There was a sink with a water fountain available in each classroom. Drinking water is served in the water pitchers with cups in each classroom as well. All the lower cabinets were either locked or free of harmful objects in each classroom. There were 2 fish tanks with tide lid in classroom #2 and #4. All sharp corners were covered. First aid supplies were available in each classroom. Cots were used for napping in each classroom. The facility provides Breakfast, Lunch and AM/PM snacks to the children. All the food is delivered by the School district daily. Lunch menu was posted in each classroom. The outdoor play yard is completely fenced. The yard is shared with the children in all classrooms. There were plenty of the age appropriate toys, ride-on-toys, wooden blocks, and play structures with soft cushioning underneath. There were couple children on special medication.
