25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with the Site Director, Patty Lee and owner, Helen Chan. The purpose of the inspection was explained to them. There were 31 children with 5 staff present. The facility's operation hours were Monday to Friday from 7:30AM to 5:30PM. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order. Temperature and lighting were adequate. The facility had 5 classroom for the preschool program. They had 2 classrooms ( on the lower lever and 3 classroom on the upper level. There were two children's bathrooms which included two toilets and two sinks in each. The facility had a separated staff bathrooms available for staffs on the ground floor. All children have their own individual cubbies to store their personal belongings in the classroom or outside the classroom. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning material, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repaired. First aid supplies were aviailable in each classroom. Cots were used for napping. Parents take the blankets home to wash every Friday. Sck children will be separated from the group and place to the office while waiting for their parents to pick up. The facility has provided morning and afternoon snacks, breakfast and lunch for children. The children brought their own water bottle to school. The facility provided drinking water to them. The outdoor play yard was completely fenced. The facility installed the soft cushioning to the entire play ground to prevent injury. There were plenty of the outdoor toys, ride-on toys, play houses, and slide structure, and climbing structure available for children. Those items were in good condition and repaired. All electrical outlet had internal blockage for child proof. All the dangerous and harmful objects were either locked or made inaccessible to the children. Per licensee, there was a child on special medication. LPA inspected the medication and document during the inspection. At least one of the staff had current CPR/First Aid training available for review. Fire drill has been conducted every 3 months and logged. LPA reviewed staff and children files during the inspection, All staff had current Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training. LPA also obtained a copy of the current children's roster from the licensee during the inspection. All required postings were posted.
