25 | 1, Licensing Program Analyst, LPA Yee conducted an annual random inspection today. There are 12 children, licensee, Mary Sol Sanchez, two helpers present today. The purpose of the inspection was explained. LPA reviewed facility personnel summary report with Mary Sol, she said it's current. Residents at the facility are Mary Sol, her husband, and their son. Daycare areas are the same as from the previous inspection. Day-care areas(lower level): front room, bathroom near the front room, room #2, kitchen, dining room, and bedroom located in the back room for napping. The home is equipped with a smoke alarm which is good for 10 years (first alert 10-year photoelectric fire alarm). Carbon monoxide, and fire extinguisher. Required immunization for staff is on file. LPA discussed the Mandated Reporter Training, AB1207 that was effective on 1/1/2018. All staff must take the training and keep the certificate on file. Licensee may contact Children Council to see if they have it in the Spanish version for her heper.
During the inspection, LPA updated licensee about the product recall "Rock N Play". The facility is ventilated properly. SIDS "A Child Care Provider's Guide to Safe Sleep" was provided. Roster was available during the inspection. LPA advised licensee to keep a current roster.
