25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Yee conducted an Annual inspection today. The purpose of the visit was explained. Present at the facility are licensee, Karen, helper, and 8 children (2 infants). The total enrollment is 8 children. The facility personnel summary report was reviewed with Karen and she said it's correct. The current residents are Karen, her husband, their son, daughter-in-law, mom and dad. All adults living at the facility have fingerprint clearance.
Daycare areas are (lower level): play areas, kitchen, bedroom #1, bedroom #2, bathroom and backyard. The remaining areas of the home are off-limits. The licensees CPR, 1ST AID is current until 01-21-2026.
LPA observed the home is clean orderly and properly ventilated. A fire extinguisher is size 2A10BC. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide are available. There are no bodies of water such as a swimming pool and/or hot tub in the home. Electrical outlets have child protective covers in place making them inaccessible to children. Chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items of this nature are made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/Bathroom cabinets/drawers have child protective locks in place making all sharp objects or toxic household items inaccessible to children. First aid supplies are available for children. Disciplinary policy was discussed with Licensee today. The home has age-appropriate toys and equipment available for the children in care. The facility provides meals. The last fire drill was conducted on 01-05-24.
LPA discussed the Mandated Reporter Training, AB1207 that was effective on 1/1/2018. All staff must take the training and keep the certificate on file. The training needs to be renewed once every 2 years.
