25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Yee conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Licensee, Mariela Santillan. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Present at the facility are Licensee, Mariela, helper, and 9 children. Current residents are licensee, Mariela, and her daughter. Her daughter is away for college. Facility was inspected with the licensee. Daycare areas are(lower level): one large room, bathroom and backyard. The backyard is not being used at this time due to damage from the rain. The rest of the home is off-limits. The days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
LPA observed the following: Day-care area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment for the children. Home has sufficient lighting and ventilation. Home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. There are no bodies of water on the property. There are no poisons, detergents, or cleaning products accessible to day-care children. Licensee states there are no guns or weapons of any kind in the home. Licensee’s CPR expires on 02-2025. Licensee conducted last emergency drill on 03-09-23 and is properly logged. Licensee provides daily snacks and meals.
LPA reviewed facility roster. Licensee has all required postings posted for parents to review.
*Licensee was reminded about having all Staff and Volunteers provide proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles or qualifies for an exemption.
*Licensee was reminded about the Provider Information Notices (PINs) on CCLD website.
*Licensee was reminded about Mandated Reporter Training available on CCLD website (www.ccld.ca.gov or www.mandatedreporterca.com). The licensee and helper AB1207 has been expired. The licensee and her helper will renew the certificate ASAP and will submit the certificate by the end of this month.
